...clap your hands!
I sing this song to Clara in the mornings after I wake her up to try to improve her mood. She's not a fan of being woken up and usually this song does the trick of getting her in a better mood fast.
But yesterday her response was, "No hands!" And today as I would sing, "If you're happy and you know it...." (pause) Clara's grumpy response was a tired, "No!"
However, she couldn't resist the second verse where you say Amen! She loves to shout "A-MEN!", and that got her going. And my favorite verse where I say "kiss your Mommy" also worked.
And in case you are wondering, Clara arranged all the books on the table herself. Always nice when something holds her attention.
