We saw a polar bear, sea lions, baboons, chimps, monkeys, giraffes, rhinos, hippos, but no elephants! The elephants were not on exhibit the day we were there. Too bad because we had really been talking them up to Clara. We made it through the whole Africa exhibit before lunch and with a happy toddler. It was great because at times, it seemed like we were the only ones on the whole continent.

Clara loved the carousel ride. She only rode it once, but can you tell from these two pictures, why I gasped and scolded "Matthew!" as the ride was going?
His response, "Well, she wanted to ride the monkey."
A tired toddler! So precious when they're sleeping!
