...it's about how many gifts you can open. Clara wanted to open them--all of them! She helped Uncle Trent pass out the presents. This has been his job for a lot of years now since he's the youngest in our family, and this year he had a helper. He would tell Clara who the gift was for, and she'd run each gift to the right person. The first time he told her a gift was for "Clara", she stopped, sat down, and started opening. From then on, any gift marked with Clara's name was for "Mommy." This ensured that all the gifts got handed out before she opened any more. In my family, we take turns opening gifts and we go from youngest to oldest. Clara wasn't sure about this plan until she realized that she could help everyone open their gifts. She'd run from person to person and help them rip open the paper. This went on until she opened her Mr. Potato Head ("Tato Head") at which time she took a break to play with her new toy.
