Matt's brother and his girlfriend, Erin, were in town a couple of weekends ago. They went with us to Union Station and Crown Center. We took Clara to see the big model train display at Union Station last year and were excited to take her again this year.
She LOVED the skylink between Crown Center and Union Station. We may have to do that again this winter because it's very warm in there, and she can run free. She loved running, and since the space was contained, we let her run out ahead of us.
No, this is not the model train exhibit that we were excited to see. Although Clara was pretty excited to play with these choo-choos.
I didn't get a good picture of the model train exhibit, which was huge--much bigger than last year. They've really done a lot more with it compared to last year. I believe it's all put together by volunteers. I imagine that some are retired railroad engineers. We decided that may be a great job for Clara's Paw Paw Terry when retires!
She loved riding the kiddy train. All the other kids climbed out when it came to a stop. Not Clara. She stayed was the last one off the train. After she didn't get out on her own, the conductor walked over and lifted her out. Wrong move buddy! She was not a happy camper. He handed Clara, who was in full-fledge fit throwing mode, to her Daddy. The conductor then asked Matt if she could ride again. I told Matt he should have said--sure, if you'll let her ride for free!
