We enjoyed a great day at the zoo recently. It was a bit chilly and rainy, which was actually perfect because it kept the crowds away and the animals were more active than I'd ever seen them at our zoo. We met our friends Jason and Katie and their son Zach. We ducked into the chimp house to eat our sack lunches during a half-hour long rain shower. It was a perfect break that got us out of the weather, fed, and then on with our day once the rain stopped. We are hoping to get more use out of our zoo pass this year now that Avery is old enough to enjoy the fun.
