St. Louis Vacation - Grant's Farm

The last stop of our vacation was Grant's Farm. We got lots of recommendations for it, and it did not disappoint. It reminded me of Deanna Rose, but it had it's own unique features. For starters, the day began with a tram tour of the Grant's Farm property. It's on a good amount of acerage and the city has just grown around it. There was quite a variety of free range animals that we got to see on the tram tour. Once we were dropped off at the visitor's area of the farm, we bought each girl a discount pass that included bottles to feed the goats, carosel rides, and a snow cone (a HUGE snow cone!). In addition to viewing the various animals, we sat through a live animal show. Our girls are not fans of sitting still or being quiet so this was a bit of a struggle. We opted to skip the elephant show because that might have sent us all over the edge. In addition to the kid's festivities, there was also a beer garden serving each guest (of age) 2 free samples of Budwiser beer.

I thought the whole point of going to Grant's farm was to see the famous Budwiser Clydesdale horses. We spent the whole morning in the main area of the farm, which interestingly enough did NOT house the Clydesdales. That area was a separate section from the main attraction. By the time we got done with the main area, we were all tired and we needed to head back to KC. Oh well, something to look forward to next time!
