A couple from our small group is due with baby #2 any day. We had their daughter, Ellarie, over recently for a Saturday evening playdate/movie night so that her parents could enjoy an evening out before her baby brother arrives. The girls decorated the individual pizzas, played with dolls, and then watched Tangled. Part of the way through the movie, they decided it was dress-up time and both dressed up in Clara's Rapunzel dresses. It was so cute watching Avery trying to keep up and do what the big girls were doing.
Matt was in bed sick this entire evening so it was a 3 to 1 child/parent ratio. Hence why there are not any pictures of the girls playing dress up and twirling around to the songs in the movie. Clara and Ellarie played well together and kept each other entertained. Oddly, it wasn't that much more work having 3 kids to take care of than 2 (for the few short hours I had three on my hands). I'm attributing that to the girl's excitement about having Ellarie over - something out of the ordinary for a change of pace.
