Last Sunday we took Clara to her first Royals game. It was a great day to be out there! It was a bit warm, but luckily our seats were so close to the top (five rooms from the top to be exact) that we were in the covered section in the shade. I don't think Clara would have lasted long in the warm sum. We almost made it through 6 innings (which we thought was an accomplishment), and then we left because she was getting sleepy and restless. Zach Greinke pitched a good game, and there was a lot of action including a home run while we were there. We love taking her out to do things like that. Even though she can't understand what's going on, she loves watching people and taking in her surroundings. And it gives us a chance to get out of the house!
She has started squealing/screaming very loudly. She does it when she doesn't get her way or when she wants attention. We went out for pizza last night and apparently it was getting too close to her bed-time because she decided to let us know by screaming a high-pitched scream as loud as she could. It was really busy and loud in the restaurant so her normal jabbering went unnoticed, but this time people stopped talking and looked over at us to see what was going on! Check please! We got the waitress so we could pay and get out of there.
