Wichita Vacation - Day 1

Matt started a new job in late April and won't be able to take much vacation this year.  So we squeezed in a quick family vacation to Wichita before he started his new job.
We stayed two nights at a nice hotel in Wichita, and we had a great time.

We arrived in Wichita on a Wednesday afternoon and had some time to kill before we could check into our hotel.  We took the girls to All Star Sports and had an indoor picnic lunch there.  I was excited for the girls to play my all-time favorite arcade game, Skeeball, but unfortunately, they do no yet share my love of it.  Despite their best efforts they weren't strong enough to throw the ball hard enough to get it all the way up the lane.

This mini carosel (above) was by far their favorite and the cheapest game in the place.
Most of the games are geared towards older kids.  Since the arcade wasn't much of a hit with our little ones, we took them outside for some mini-golf.  The LOVED it.  It was a quick game of mini-golf because they don't follow any of the rules, and they pretty much took one shot and then ran to the next hole.

We had to convince them that they couldn't play inside this house.  That concept was very confusing to them.  Why would there be a colorful playhouse that we can't play in?!

After our mini-golf outing, we visited my Dad at his work.
The girls had a ball running around his office!

Our hotel had a large pond behind it with a nice walking trail.
The girls and I took a walk and fed the geese while Matt was resting.
