Clara tried everything she could think of yesterday to be the center of attention at church! We seem to get lots of attention because people love babies and because she's just so cute. Check out her new dress she wore yesterday.
Apparently, Clara decided she needed even more attention because she started fussing while we were singing. It was about nap time for her so she was just tired and needed to go to sleep. I finally took her out in the lobby and got to her sleep. She slept thru the whole sermon, and the fun started during announcements. The lady giving announcements was pretty soft spoken and while she was speaking, Clara filled her pants--very loudly. Matt and I were trying our best not to laugh. Then to top that off, Clara let out the loudest, longest fart we've ever heard from her! This time the guy in front of us turned around, and the people in front of us started chuckling. We hope they know it was her!! Matt and I were trying so hard to stifle our laughter that our eyes were tearing up! As if that wasn't enough fun for her, she waited until the pastor was praying to start talking. She jabbers a lot these days, and she starting making all sorts of noise! Finally, as they taking the offering, she starting crying, and we just gave up and headed out early. Enough fun for one Sunday!
This weekend Uncle Ryan was in town for the Don Bechard Memorial Basketball Tournament. It was to raise scholarship funds in honor of their High School basketball coach who passed away from cancer last year. We had a family dinner on Thursday night, Matt & Ryan golfed on Friday and played basketball all day Saturday. Ryan's team made it to the championship game but were handily defeated by a team of "youngsters".
Grandma Karen & Clara at the tournament. We missed Matt's big three-point shot--probably because we were too busy taking pictures--of Clara!
Looks like Uncle Ryan could hold his own keeping an eye on Tate & Evan.
