Today we took Clara to her 2 month check-up. She now weighs 9lbs. 15 oz., exactly three pounds more than her birth weight. Matt pointed out that she's grown about 50% more since birth in two months time. That's incredible--imagine gaining 50% more weight in such a short time as an adult! Her head measured 38 cm, and she's 21 inches long. Her weight and head measurements were in the 25th percentile and her length was in the 7th percentile. Basically, she's on the smaller side, but that's what we expected since both Matt and I were small children. The doctor seemed pleased with her growth and her progress in general (head movements, facial expressions, etc.). She got three shots today, and she cried so hard it almost made me cry! Sometime this week or next, we're taking her in to have an ultrasound done on her hips. Apparently this is standard for breach babies. She's sleeping now, but I promised her we'd snuggle the rest of the afternoon since she's had such a rough day! Our next check-up is at 4 months and is scheduled for May 8.
