We had a big first this weekend. Clara's first night away from home without Mommy & Daddy. She stayed with her Grandma Karen and Grandpa Terry. We went to Brad and Kristy's wedding on Saturday night. It was fun to hang out with friends and not have to worry about rushing home at a certain time. It was also nice to sleep in on Sunday morning, although I ended up waking up fairly early (but this time I could go back to sleep!). Matt was slightly more anxious about leaving her than I was. He carefully inspected the pack and play at the Grandparent's house to make sure it was all set for Clara. We survived our separation anxiety and actually didn't call to check on her until 9am the next morning. Clara had a great time with the Grandparent's, and they had tons of fun showing her off to all of their friends at a retirement party they went to.

Clara was exhausted from her adventure and fell asleep in the high chair at the restaurant on Sunday at lunch. We were pretty tired too after staying out past midnight for the first time in a LONG time! Clara's first night away was a success, but we were sure happy to have her home. We're not sure what we ever did without her!
