What a stressful night! We were pretty disorganized because all of her things were upstairs in her room and our room is on the main level. We hadn't yet brought down all the baby stuff we were going to need, and we didn't really even know what all we would need!! Matt had quite a time getting her swaddled (she kept busting out of the blanket--she has a strong will and strong little arms). We were both a nervous wreck and wanted to jump out of bed and check on her with every little noise she made. We all made it thru the night (us with very little sleep), and the nights have gotten slightly better now that we are starting to develop a system. However, we are still getting up about every 2 1/2 to 3 hours to feed our little darling! Matt's been an amazing Dad! He took care of nearly everything in the hospital (diaper & clothing changes and bottle feedings) since I was pretty incapcitated from the surgery. Since we've been home, he's continued changing most of the diapers in addition to doing laundry and dishes while I've been recovering.
