Clara goes from happy baby to starving and demanding to eat in a matter of seconds. She can get very LOUD when she's ready to eat. We try to explain to her that we're getting her bottle ready and that it takes a couple of minutes to warm the bottle. We also tell her that "patience is a virtue"--both to no avail.=) We put her bib on while her bottle is warming, and she acts like she wants to eat the bib--it's pretty cute!
We had a "meltdown" in the middle of Costco on Saturday while we were price shopping for diapers. We go thru TONS of diapers. I think we average about 100 per week, and for those of you who are not yet parents, those things are PRICEY!! Anyway, the only way to calm Miss Patience was to feed and burp her in the middle of Costco. That bought us just enough time to finish our shopping and get out of Costco. That was probably the quickest trip to Costco we've ever made. Usually Matt wants to go thru every aisle, and we have multiple debates over which products we should or shouldn't buy in bulk--not this time! Baby changes everything!
